Position Summary:

In this pivotal role as the Senior Supply Planning Specialist, you will be at the forefront of all aspects of supply planning, ensuring seamless operations and optimal cost management. We are actively seeking a detail-oriented professional who excels in building strong relationships with factory locations and expertly responds to market demands. Your primary responsibilities will include developing and executing comprehensive supply plans for WIP materials, with a strong emphasis on achieving targeted service levels and optimizing inventory and bad goods management. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with factory locations to establish long-term (rolling 18-month) capacity plans, proactively identifying and resolving potential capacity issues. Your expertise in driving cost-effective management of supply and production planning functions, while considering production constraints and the overall impact on total delivered cost, will be crucial. Ensuring customer service and time objectives are met within financial constraints, and aligning with marketing and financial objectives, will be a key focus. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and recommend decisions for balancing supply needs across all available sourcing locations.
  • Responsible for setting, reviewing, and maintaining safety stock policy by sku to meet agreed upon customer service level objectives while minimizing associated working capital costs
  • Manage bad goods in the P&L by closely monitoring any risk of ageing stock, communicate with the commercial team to align on potential actions to mitigate financial risks, and propose preventive actions to minimize future occurrence.
  • Continually reassess current inventory management processes and propose and lead new planning methods and/or tools.
  • Identify and analyze build stock needs and timing based on production availability and strategic decisions, while communicating to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Manage the frequent communication with the cross functional team on product availability and critical items, highlighting risks of customer shortages, back in stock projections, root cause of the issue, and preventative actions to avoid future reoccurrence.
  • Present supply outlook (days on hand, service levels, projected future working capital, factory performance) and any strategic plans for the 18 month rolling horizon as well as the long term supply outlook to NHS leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Responsible for gathering all necessary inputs from other Operational functions that impact the supply outlook.
  • Lead the budget planning and target setting activities
  • Optimize, review, and propose meeting structures and contents to ensure alignment with Manufacturing and other Operational functions.
  • Manage and responsible for weekly production reviews with Manufacturing
  • Manage and responsible for coordination with the QA team on effective and timely product release, while prioritizing products as necessary.
  • Lead monthly production reviews with Manufacturing.
  • Manage communication and flow of transitions amongst various Supply planners affected by major sourcing changes and projects.
  • Developing the network of Supply Planning by leading and actively presenting in Supply Planning functional meetings with other business units to share experiences and contribute in defining company-wide best practices

Experience & Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but significant supply planning experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain roles, with manufacturing and production experience being a plus.
  • At least 3+ years of experience in Supply Planning, including long-term bulk planning.
  • Experience with SAP, APO, or OMP is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills: Ability to analyze data and interpret trends to make data-driven decisions.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making: Demonstrated ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in using supply planning tools and software, such as SAP, OMP, or similar ERP systems. Strong Excel skills, including advanced formulas, data analysis, and modeling. Knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
  • Self-starter with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization expertise.

The approximate pay range for this position is $80,000.00to $90,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
