Job Description

The Logistics Planner will provide subject matter expertise, planning, and execution of clinical supply chain logistics planning and operations. They will interface with internal and external stakeholders to develop and oversee operational and process improvements relating to supply chain logistics of clinical trials. The incumbent will be accountable to ensure that logistics planning and deliverables are optimal, consistent, fit for purpose, and comply with our company's Corporate Policies.

Primary responsibilities

This position will closely liaise with our Clinical Supply Demand Management, Master Planning, Global Quality, Trade Operations, Trade Compliance, Relationship Management, Packaging technology, Procurement, Business Analytics, and Finance to implement consistent global processes and deliver the pipeline for on time, cost effective, and compliant distribution. This will include simplification and efficiency improvement of current procedures/processes applied across Logistics Planning. They will work collaboratively with global stakeholders and peers, to align on priorities and support the achievement of goals. This requires demonstrated critical thinking and effective problem-solving skills with excellent interactive skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. The incumbent may also initiate and/or lead organizational initiatives, on an as needed basis.

Further tasks would include ownership of SAP related processes, authoring Business Technical Documents, responsibility for logistics analytics and identifying areas for change to save on cost and time, and managing cross functional clinical research teams for process development quality control and change management.

Required skills –

  • 3+ years of experience within supply chain via distribution or supply chain planning, required. Experience within clinical supply preferred.

  • Certification within supply chain preferred

  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, efficiency, and follow-through.

  • Expected to embody the company values in their day-to-day activities.

  • Proven ability to influence across boundaries, communicate effectively in both a written and verbal format.

  • Responsible for proactive and timely communication of challenges and opportunities to senior leadership and address project plans in a systematic and thoughtful manner.

Education -

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED

  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected salary range:

$83,100.00 - $130,900.00
