The impact of the role:

The Solutions Architect will be a critical team member of the Engineering Department working within cross-functional teams, collaborating with Mobility Strategists, Software Engineers & Product Owners to deliver innovative solutions.

Together with your peers you will be defining the future connected services for one of the largest OEMs in the world, being able to see the result of your work driving down the road! On a given day, a Solutions Architect will:

• Lead system architecture discussions, collaborate with stakeholders and identify how technology can support their goals.
• Collaboration with multiple teams to determine functional and non-functional requirements.
• Identify and help define common technology enablers across various departments of large organizations.
• Work with technical teams and other related internal divisions to ensure that the client’s requirements are captured, understood and considered.
• Support in developing high level technical service design as part of the business ideation phase.
• Advise on how to create system and data correlation activities to enable integrated cross area services.
• Reflect architectural decisions and represent system designs in a clear and concise manner using modeling methodologies.
• Propose recommendations / improvements on Digital Strategy & Technology.
• Participate and support company business growth activities.

Requirements

In order to be successful in this role you will need:

• BSc in Information Technology or Computer Science or in any relevant field.
• Minimal 5 years of experience in engineering and software architecture design.
• Background in any of the following: Infrastructure Architecture, Data Engineering or DevOps Engineering.
• Experience in the design of solutions for Cloud Platforms & Data Platforms.
• Experience with at least one of the major cloud services provider (AWS -strong preference-, AZURE, GCP).
• In-depth understanding of the business drivers for digital transformation.
• Being up to date with emerging computing trends and assessing their impact on partner practice building opportunities.
• Experience working with agile methodologies / in agile teams is highly appreciated.
• Fluency in English is a must, as we are a multinational company.
• Active contribution as a team player to collaborative efforts.
• Curiosity and a willingness to learn new technologies, embracing an out of the box thinking approach.

Please note that this position requires regular traveling to Brussels, Belgium for business purposes.
