Moodle with us!

At Moodle, we’re on a mission to empower educators and learners worldwide with open, flexible, and innovative digital learning solutions. As the world’s most customisable and trusted open-source LMS, we partner with schools, universities, and organisations to create better learning experiences for millions. If you’re ready to make a real impact, and be part of a global movement shaping the future of learning, join us let’s transform education together!

About the Role

Moodle is in the middle of a major transformation of our marketing operations, data foundations, and HubSpot ecosystem. We’re looking for a Marketing Operations Lead to join us on a 8-month contract and own the hands-on delivery of this transformation from foundation through to handover.

This is a highly impactful, senior individual contributor role. You’ll work closely with Marketing, Technology & Operations and Sales to stand up a clean, scalable and trusted HubSpot environment, mature our marketing operations fundamentals and ensure the team is set up for long-term success.

You’ll be both strategic and deeply practical - building, fixing, documenting and enabling.

What You’ll Do

Most days in this role usually involve a mix of:

  • Partnering with Technology & Operations and external HubSpot consultants to validate data models, lifecycle structures, and integrations
  • Defining and implementing lifecycle stages, lead scoring models, routing logic and automation that reflect how the business actually operates
  • Owning HubSpot forms, consent management, subscription frameworks and compliance best practices (GDPR, CAN-SPAM)
  • Building scalable automation for lead handling, nurturing, re-engagement, internal alerts and suppression
  • Establishing trusted reporting and dashboards that clearly show funnel health, conversion, attribution and performance
  • Creating governance, documentation, and playbooks so systems are usable, understandable and sustainable
  • Improving database health through ongoing hygiene, deduplication and data quality rules
  • Enabling the marketing team through training sessions, walkthroughs and clear “how this works” documentation
  • Preparing a thorough documentation, including system maps, SOPs, and recommendations for future optimisation

Requirements

We’d love to meet you

Especially if you can tell us about your:

  • Experience leading HubSpot migrations or full implementations in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
  • Deep hands-on expertise across marketing operations fundamentals, including lifecycle design, lead scoring, automation and attribution
  • Strong understanding of marketing data governance, consent management and database hygiene
  • Ability to translate convoluted processes into clean, scalable systems
  • Track record of building automation that actually works - no vanity scoring or over-engineered workflows
  • Confidence partnering with Sales, SDRs, Marketing and Systems teams to align definitions and ways of working
  • Excellent documentation habits - you leave systems better understood than when you found them
  • Comfort working independently, prioritising delivery and driving outcomes in a fixed-term engagement
  • Experience using Asana to design workflows, maintain visibility and create reusable operational templates
