Job Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Jira Administrator/Scrum Master. In this role, you will play a crucial role in administering Jira projects and boards while also serving as a Scrum Master for our agile teams. As a Jira Administrator/Scrum Master, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement processes within Jira to support project management and collaboration objectives, while also facilitating agile ceremonies and ensuring adherence to Scrum and Kanban methodologies. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Jira boards across multiple teams, ensuring that all projects and tasks are set up correctly and aligned with company objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and Scrum Masters to ensure that tasks are accurately linked to broader projects and initiatives within the company.
  • Implement and optimize processes within Jira to streamline project management workflows and improve team efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of company-wide projects and initiatives, ensuring that Jira boards accurately reflect the status and progress of each.
  • Work closely with team leads to identify opportunities for automation within Jira, such as task assignment, status updates, and reporting.
  • Lead training sessions and provide guidance to team members on best practices for using Jira effectively, ensuring consistent adoption of processes and standards.
  • Act as a liaison between different departments to facilitate communication and collaboration on cross-functional projects.
  • Monitor Jira boards regularly to identify bottlenecks, dependencies, and opportunities for optimization, taking proactive steps to address issues as they arise.
  • Stay current on industry best practices and trends related to project management and agile methodologies, incorporating new ideas and techniques into our Jira processes as appropriate.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Jira, including administering projects and boards for medium to large teams.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement processes within Jira to support project management and collaboration objectives.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience working in an agile environment, with a solid understanding of Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and techniques within Jira, such as Jira Automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about process improvement and optimisation.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach, with a passion for driving positive change and continuous improvement.
