Senior/Lead Smart Contract Engineer - Web3 User Acquisition Platform
Location: Remote - US (EST Preferred)
Compensation: $150K - $200K
We are a leading web3 user acquisition platform that has powered onboarding for over 500 protocols since 2021, facilitating over 500 million transactions and serving over 3 million users on 40+ chains. Our platform is infrastructure for major players like Coinbase, Uniswap, and Solana. Backed by $21M in total funding and with a successful native token launched in 2024, we are seeking a highly experienced Senior/Lead Smart Contract Engineer to take ownership of our protocol architecture and security.
You will lead the design and implementation of our smart contract infrastructure for both core and new initiatives. This is a critical, high-ownership role where you will drive protocol architecture, security, and optimization across multiple chains supporting millions of users. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining the integrity and gas efficiency of our high-volume systems.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Protocol Design: Design and implement core protocol contracts, token distribution mechanisms, and drive architectural decisions.
- Security & Audits: Lead contract audits (with firms like Trail of Bits and OpenZeppelin) and establish stringent security best practices, including invariant testing and formal verification.
- Optimization: Optimize gas efficiency and security for high-volume systems that handle millions of transactions.
- Research: Conduct research and prototyping in areas like cross-chain bridging, token economics, and scalability solutions.
- Mentorship: Mentor other engineers and conduct thorough code reviews to maintain code quality and security standards.
- Deployment: Oversee multi-chain deployment strategies across various platforms (Ethereum, L2s, alt-L1s).
Requirements
- Experience:5+ years of experience in production smart contract development.
- Solidity Expertise:Expert-level Solidity with a proven history of implementing robust security practices.
- Track Record: Successfully shipped contracts to mainnet managing significant TVL ($10M+).
- DeFi Knowledge: Deep functional knowledge of DeFi concepts, including staking mechanisms, MEV protection, and oracle security.
- Security Discipline: Mandatory experience with invariant testing, formal verification, and having successfully led contracts through professional security audits.
- Multi-chain: Strong track record of multi-chain deployment experience (Ethereum L2s, alt-L1s).
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves):
- Experience with Vaults, Lending protocols, and yield generation.
- Direct experience with Tokenomics design for live projects.
- Background in cross-chain messaging protocols (LayerZero, Wormhole, Hyperlane).
- Experience with account abstraction or smart wallets.
- Contributions to established DeFi protocols or infrastructure projects.
