Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer with expertise in Genesys Cloud CX to plan, execute, and oversee quality assurance processes. This role involves testing telecom components such as IVR and SIP trunks, validating APIs, and ensuring the reliability of interfaces and system integrations.
Language Requirement:
This role requires fluency in Mandarin/Chinese due to the need to communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and/or review documentation written in Mandarin.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain manual and automated test plans, test cases, and scripts tailored for Genesys Cloud call flows and telecom integrations.
- Execute various testing methodologies: functional, regression, performance, stress, and end-to-end testing across platforms.
- Conduct rigorous IVR routing, SIP trunk, chat, email, and API validation.
- Log, track, and manage defects using tools like JIRA, Rally, QTest, or Agile Central.
- Collaborate with Dev, Ops, and Support teams to clarify requirements, fix issues, and retest resolutions.
- Automate tests using tools like Cyara, Selenium, JMeter, Python, or JavaScript.
- Integrate and maintain automated test frameworks within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
- Analyze requirements thoroughly and define test strategies, coverage plans, time estimates, and release readiness metrics.
- Provide QA status reports, dashboards, and metrics reflecting test progress and quality trends.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies—sprint planning, stand-ups, demos, retrospectives.
- Mentor junior QA engineers; promote continuous improvement in test methodologies.
- Monitor and troubleshoot systems using tools like Splunk, GA/GAX, Pulse.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (telecom protocols, security, data regulations).
Qualifications
- 5+ years of QA experience, ideally with Genesys Cloud, contact center, or telecom systems.
- Proficiency with IVR, SIP trunking, API and telecom protocol testing.
- Deep understanding of QA methodologies and experience with tools like Cyara, QTest, Selenium .
- Strong analytical ability with top-tier English communication skills .
- Experience working in Agile environments and coordinating cross-functional teams .
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
- Fluent English and Mandarin written and spoken level.
Nice to have:
- Skilled in scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, Ruby, or Java) for automation.
