About the role
We are seeking a part-time, end-to-end Power BI Developer (20 hours/week) with experience in enterprise-scale deployments.
This role is ideal for a technically capable individual who can manage the full BI lifecycle from data ingestion to modeling, reporting, and governance. You will collaborate with our existing team to enhance our analytics platform, improve version control and governance, and ensure consistent performance across data products.Requirements
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and
dataflows. - Perform advanced data modeling using DAX and TMDL.
- Optimize and audit existing semantic models using Tabular Editor and DAX Studio.
- Leverage Power Query for ETL processes (SQL experience a plus).
Implement source control and CI/CD pipelines using Git and Azure
DevOps. - Enhance collaborative development workflows using ALM Toolkit and
XMLA endpoints. - Translate mockups (Figma or similar) into functional Power BI reports with a focus on UI/UX best practices.
Manage Power BI Service workspace governance including roles, security, and asset distribution. - Required Skills & Tools
ETL: Power Query (Dataflows); SQL experience a plus.
Modeling: DAX, TMDL, XMLA, Tabular Editor 3, DAX Studio
Visualization: Power BI Desktop; familiarity with Figma or other UI/UX tools preferred.
Governance & Collaboration: Power BI Service, Azure DevOps, Git, or similar SCM tools (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket), ALM toolkit
Development Best Practices: Strong understanding of enterprise BI
lifecycle, semantic layer design, performance optimization, and data governance.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience with Power BI in an enterprise environment.
Demonstrated expertise in data modeling, DAX, and version control
workflows.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with remote teams.
Familiarity with global business operations or logistics environments is a
plus.

Hours: 20 hours per week
Location: Remote (Must be available to meet between 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
PT. Timezone flexibility preferred for collaboration across global teams)
