Working under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for developing and executing software test plans, including both manual and automated testing. The role includes maintaining and executing verification procedures for software applications and contributing to testing activities throughout the software development life cycle, with a strong emphasis on test automation strategies and implementation.Responsibilities
Creates and maintains automated and manual test cases and test protocols
Develops, executes, and maintains automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, TestComplete, or similar frameworks
Integrates automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality
Verifies that software functions according to functional and user requirements and software design specifications
Assists in the testing of systems, modules, and prototypes
Performs installations, configurations, and executions of verification procedures
Conducts ongoing regression and integration testing of the product, including automated regression suites
Explores new methods for software verification and validation, including automation frameworks and tools
Works with Development and Technical teams to efficiently troubleshoot problems
Creates Functionality vs. Requirements Traceability Matrices and Test Environment Matrices
Identifies and communicates possible improvements in the work process for customers and peers
Reports all defects in the defect tracking tool
Technical Skills
Familiarity with Windows or Linux
Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, TestComplete, JMeter, Cypress, Playwright)
Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java) for test automation
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
Familiarity with Microsoft Office or other office automation/productivity software tools
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Qualifications Required
An undergraduate or college degree or better in computer science or equivalent discipline or equivalent level of industry related experience
2+ years related experience in software testing (manual)
1 or more yearsautomated testing experience.
