Through groundbreaking services, Mental Health Association (MHA) is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals impacted by mental illness, developmental disabilities, substance use disorders, and homelessness throughout Western Massachusetts. As a nonprofit provider, MHA embraces a holistic approach to mental health care, offering a wide array of therapies and support services that empower individuals to lead fulfilling lives. Our organization operates over 60 residential sites, providing safe and supportive environments where more than 3,600 participants annually receive essential care and resources.

MHA’s programs include specialized services such as the GRIT program for substance use recovery, the New Way initiative for individuals with acquired brain injuries, and the BestLife emotional health and wellness center that provides therapy to various demographics including families and children. By focusing on integration with community living and employing innovative practices informed by principles like Housing First, MHA ensures that even the most marginalized populations find access to safe and affordable housing, contributing to a more inclusive society.
