About Health Affiliates Maine
Health Affiliates Maine (HAM) is a statewide mental health and substance use agency founded to help reduce the stigma associated with mental illness and to support Maine’s mental health professionals. Established in 2010, HAM provides a wide array of services including outpatient therapy, substance use counseling, case management, and psychiatric treatment through a comprehensive statewide network of clinicians and case managers.
With a mission to empower Mainers, HAM focuses on recognizing the universal challenge of mental health and substance use issues, aiming to normalize the conversation around these topics. The organization promotes recovery at one’s own pace, understanding that the journey to wellness is unique for each individual. As of now, HAM employs over 350 affiliate clinicians and case managers, serving clients across all counties in Maine. The agency is committed to improving access to mental health services while advocating for and supporting its team of healthcare providers in delivering compassionate, high-quality care.
