Job Description:
- Lead the DBA Team, overseeing activities of the junior and senior professionals, and monitoring.
- Own all plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the companys goals.
- Coordinate responsibilities, priorities and capacity planning for their team.
- Manage MySQL, PostgreSQL and other non-relational database administrations through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
- Manage cloud-based database servers and processes, including regular maintenance and monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
- Support product development teams for database designs and implementations, including a review of system architecture, contributing to improving future architecture aiming for stability, cost-efficiency, and high levels of performance.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science or related fields.
- Experience in leading DBA teams and projects.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with production of MySQL and PostgreSQL database operations.
- Expertise in performance tuning and optimization using native monitoring, troubleshooting, and database performance monitoring tools.
- Familiar with cloud technology (e.g. AWS-RDS /GCP-CloudSQL).
- Familiar with scripting languages (at least one of Shell or Python).
- Familiar with Linux OS and good system troubleshooting skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, in critical situations under pressure as well as in day-to-day operations.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities.
