Medtelligent is a healthcare technology company that develops ALIS (Assisted Living Integrated Solutions), a software platform specifically designed for assisted living, memory care, and independent living communities. Founded in 2005, the company initially focused on billing software for physician clinics before shifting its expertise to the senior living sector in 2008. Recognizing a significant need for specialized technology in this industry, Medtelligent launched ALIS in 2009. The platform serves as an operating system for communities, streamlining various critical functions to enhance resident care and operational efficiency. ALIS offers a comprehensive suite of tools that address key challenges in senior living, including clinical management, electronic medication administration records (eMAR), drug counting, billing and financials, resident management, and staff scheduling. It also provides robust reporting and analytics capabilities for care tracking, compliance management across different state regulations, and incident reporting. Furthermore, the software supports marketing and lead tracking, features an activities calendar, and facilitates family engagement, which became particularly crucial during periods of physical distancing.

Medtelligent prides itself on creating a user-friendly and intuitive platform. Direct care staff can be trained quickly, and key performance indicator (KPI) reports can be generated easily, either out-of-the-box or customized without requiring extensive technical support. The company emphasizes a 'resident-centric' approach, aiming to help senior living operators transition from a real estate-based model to one focused on care and resident well-being. This philosophy drives their continuous product development, including integrations with partner systems like Sage Intacct for financial reporting and Toi Labs for smart toilet seat data. Medtelligent has experienced consistent growth, largely through referrals, and is committed to investing in its people and product. The company fosters a culture of innovation, encouraging its development team to explore and implement the latest technologies to continuously improve the ALIS platform and user experience. They are dedicated to solving real-world problems in senior care by providing a secure, cloud-based system that supports business continuity and simplifies compliance for the communities they serve.
