Senior Director - International Finance

The role is pivotal in maintaining high-quality, consistent, and reliable data across Mayo Clinic while helping to foster a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization. Provide leadership to the development and implementation of Mayo Clinic’s financial and operational data structures and data management strategy. Ensure alignment of data strategy with overall business objectives. Support creation and enforcement of financial data hierarchy policies, procedures, and standards. Help facilitate initial version of financial data governance groups or committees. Lead indirect cross-functional teams to promote data governance and data stewardship practices. Monitor data quality and address any discrepancies or issues. Engage with key stakeholders to understand data requirements and business needs including IT, business units, and other departments. Coordinates with other finance areas of expertise such as tax compliance, Financial Reporting & Consolidations, Office of the CFOs and others for accounting implications, regulatory and compliance needs, and reporting of operations across Mayo Clinic's companies and business activities. Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in data management, structures, and governance. Provide leadership to development of financial reports and analyses for all organizations across the enterprise, creating deep-dive analytics around patient or other volume-based activity, service line dynamics, and profitability vertically & horizontally, key metrics & trends.

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or a related field. Minimum eight years of relevant financial experience, some of which has been in a global healthcare (bricks and mortar) environment. Working knowledge of financial management systems and tools. Experience in building and growing the financial infrastructure of a new organization with multiple lines of business. Comfortable being a hands-on matrixed leader, while also having the presence to engage with executives across the organization. Demonstrated success building long-lasting partnerships across an organization.
