This is the first in a series of four revenue cycle analyst roles in a multi-site, multi-specialty academic medical center. Works in a team environment providing support to revenue analysts and revenue cycle leadership under limited supervision. Actively communicate and present pertinent information to various audiences. Understands and recognizes the need for billing controls to preserve Mayo's Standard of Ethics and minimize the financial and legal risks for Mayo. Performs tasks such as error correction, reconciliations, data entry, standard report preparation, analysis and/or routine compliance activities. Uses reporting tools to monitor revenue recognition and billing compliance. Understands basic Mayo and governmental coding and billing rules and compliance guidelines. Assists in conducting research and analysis, benchmarking, and audits to ensure reasonableness and accuracy of information along with identifying and implementing best practices and improvements. Provides basic revenue and billing analytics to support department and institutional leadership. May identify revenue and billing problems and opportunities and communicate to appropriate leaders.
High School diploma and 4 year’s relevant experience.

Bachelor's Degree in economics, mathematics, business administration, accounting, finance, healthcare business related fields or statistics
Demonstrated understanding of coding, billing and compliance practices. Prefer knowledge of revenue recognition systems and practice billing systems. Strong investigational skills, shows attention to detail, accuracy and ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. Independently organizes work plan for assigned projects within team structure. Demonstrates effective communication and basic presentation skills. Ability to work in a team environment and develop constructive working relationships with others. Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint.
