We are seeking a talented individual to join our Pension Administration team at Mercer. This role will be based in Montreal, and it is a hybrid role with a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As a Senior Consultant – Pension Administration, you will have the opportunity to thrive in a collaborative team environment within Mercer’s Wealth business. You will join a dedicated group of consultants, analysts, and administrators committed to delivering exceptional administration services to a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring outstanding and prompt customer service in every interaction. In this role, you will take charge of all aspects of pension administration for Defined Benefits Pension Plans, managing an assigned book of clients with professionalism and expertise.
We will count on you to:
- Act as the main point of contact and deliver pension administration advice and services to an assigned book of clients
- Liaise with other lines of business and/or other geographies to coordinate service delivery
- Oversee necessary calculations or special projects, analyzing their impact on all of a client’s retirement plans, including review of tools and processes
- Act as a mentor and coach, motivating staff to deliver a high standard of work within given timeframes and budgets, thereby creating an environment that encourages both individual and team accomplishments
- Routinely use Mercer intellectual capital and participate in development of intellectual capital
- Partner with local office and market leadership on establishing realistic budgets
What you need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 15 years of prior experience working with defined benefit pension plans and related provincial legislation
- Demonstrate the following competencies: strong analytical and organization skills, thoroughness, attention to detail, excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to work in teams, self-reliance, resourcefulness
- Proven leadership experience
- Proficient with MS-Office software programs and expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Fluency in English and French as the incumbent must communicate with bilingual employees and clientele across Canada
