Governance and Advice Coaching Manager

This role will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of governance, incident management, team onboarding and offboarding, training management & oversight, reporting, and management of the Professional Year Program. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in financial services, particularly in governance and advice, along with proficiency in advice technology systems such as Xplan and Midwinter.

We will count on you to:
- Manage and respond to incidents reported by the governance team, ensuring timely resolution and escalation as necessary.
- Implement strategies to prevent future incidents and improve overall governance processes.
- Oversee the onboarding and offboarding process for team members, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain training programs for new hires to ensure they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in their roles.
- Coordinate training activities for team members, including identifying training needs, developing training materials, and delivering training sessions.
- Monitor training progress and evaluate training effectiveness to ensure alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
- Oversee the generation and analysis of reports to identify key trends and opportunities for growth and efficiency
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop actionable insights and recommendations based on report findings.
- Manage the Professional Year Program, including coordination of program activities, mentorship, and performance evaluation of participants.
What you need to have:
- Proven experience in financial services with a focus on governance and advice
- In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to governance and advice.
- Proficient in advice technology systems with the ability to navigate and utilise these systems effectively
- Effective coaching and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve their full potential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels
