Server Test Engineer

The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated ServerTest Engineer to join our team, focusing on the MariaDB optimizer.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and stability of our database, by developing and maintaining robust test suites.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain tests specifically for the MariaDB optimizer.

• Collaborate closely with Optimizer Engineers to understand new features and develop comprehensive tests for them.

• Analyse query execution plans, and performance profiles to identify performance problems.

• Monitor and analyze continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) test results, identifying and triaging regressions caused by code changes.

• Contribute to improving the overall test infrastructure and processes.

Qualifications

• 5 or more years of related experience.

• Proficiency in Git for version control.

• Strong knowledge of SQL.

• Solid background in relational databases.

• Experience with performance profiling and analysis tools is a plus.
