The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced cybersecurity professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for advanced cybersecurity incident response, operations, threat detection, and forensics. This role requires strong technical expertise across various cybersecurity domains, with an emphasis on cloud automation, scripting, data analysis, and custom threat detection. Additionally, the candidate must demonstrate effective team collaboration and leadership skills.

Location
The professional in this role will reside in the continental USA and will work remotely.
The Main Responsibilities
- Cloud Security & Forensics Investigation
- Develop and maintain effective playbooks for dealing with Cloud-based incidents.
- Perform Cloud-native automation to contain resources related to compromises or malicious activities
- Will serve an a Team Lead for mentorship and guidance
- Creating advanced queries, custom dashboards, and optimizing searches.
- Network telemetry. (Netflow and SIEM)
- Parsing structured and unstructured data.
- Creating and tuning rules for custom threat detection.
- Tuning EDR solutions with custom detection logic.
- Advanced Scripting & Automation:
- Linux/Unix

What We Look For in a Candidate
- Must be able to obtain government clearance.
- Expert-level knowledge of cloud incident response, especially in AWS, Azure and Google environments.
- Experience with cyber intrusion investigations
- Mastery of Python for automation tasks, data handling, and log parsing (e.g., JSON, YAML, etc.).
- Experience analyzing PCAP files
- Proficient in SIEM technology
- Expertise in NetFlow analysis and correlating it with other network telemetry.
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Expertise in NetFlow
- Experience parsing structured and unstructured data.
- Experience creating and tuning rules for custom threat detection.
- Proficiency in tuning EDR solutions with custom detection logic.
- Familiarity with automation frameworks like Ansible, SaltStack, or Terraform for security deployments.
- Advanced Unix/Linux command knowledge (awk, sed, grep, cut) for system data gathering.
- Experience with Unix forensics using tools like auditd, syslog, and journald, etc.
- B.S. in a related field or equivalent field experience.
- Certifications are a plus
- Eight plus years of field experience
- A deep understanding of security tooling within an multi-cloud environment

Compensation
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
Location Based Pay Ranges:
$129,639 - $172,852 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.
$136,121 - $181,494 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.
$142,603 - $190,137 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
