About the role

  • The Process Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing operational processes within the Firm. These individuals utilize their expertise in Lean Manufacturing and project management, as well as their collaboration skills, to deliver efficient and cost-effective workflows that drive productivity, foster continuous improvement, and deliver measurable results. The ideal candidate will be skilled in value stream mapping, SOP development, and coaching teams on Lean principles while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday 9am-6pm EST
  • Payrate: USD $17/hr

What you'll do

Process Design & Implementation

  • Analyze and review existing processes and workflows, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and client experience.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design, implement, and optimize new processes and workflows, ensuring scalability, overall efficiency, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Develop and maintain value stream maps and workflows to visualize current and future states, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Implement tools and technologies that automate manual processes to enhance productivity and reduce human error or delays.
  • Design, test, and implement new or modified processes that align with business objectives, industry standards, or company regulations.
  • Ensure that all process changes comply with laws and regulatory requirements, as well as company policy.

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Develop, standardize, and update SOPs for all key processes, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with Lean principles.
  • Maintain and adjust SOPs as improvements or changes are implemented.

Continuous Improvement Initiatives.

  • Identify opportunities for efficiency gains through process analysis and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Conduct time studies and performance analyses to identify and eliminate waste.
  • Troubleshoot process issues in real-time, providing solutions to operational challenges.
  • Develop and track KPIs to measure and improve operational performance.

Project Management

  • Lead or participate in process improvement projects, from initial concept to final implementation, ensuring timely and long-term solutions.
  • Develop project plans, set milestones, and manage implementation to ensure improvements are completed within scope.
  • Communicate project updates to stakeholders, providing insights and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Coordinate with other departments/cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and proper execution of process changes.
  • As necessary, partner with IT teams to test and validate technology solutions that enhance workflows.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for team members on new processes or tools.
  • Offer ongoing support following implementation to team members to ensure understanding and adherence to updated processes or ways of working.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting
  • Continuously monitor process performance, analyzing data to identify trends, variations, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Generate and review key performance indicators (KPI’s) to monitor process efficiency.
  • Provide detailed reports to management on project progress, process effectiveness, and KPI achievement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in process improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or project management within a manufacturing, production, or operational environment.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Strong Computer Skills (typing, Microsoft Office, Dropbox, and Case Management software) 
  • English Proficiency- Level C1 or greater
  • Strong background in Lean Manufacturing principles, including value stream mapping, process mapping, and time studies.
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Experience in identifying and eliminating non-value-added activities in processes.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively
  • Strong data analysis skills to measure performance, track KPIs, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Creative problem-solving ability to troubleshoot process-related issues and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Fast learner with a proactive mindset, capable of adapting quickly to new challenges and environments.
