Liatrio is a boutique consulting firm that helps enterprises deliver software faster, safer and more efficiently. Our work is dual mode: engineering delivery and people enablement. We lead DevOps transformations in many different industries, anywhere from financial institutions to healthcare providers to the department of defense.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with recent experience as an account principal, delivery principal, engineering director, consulting director, or engineering vice president who is passionate about both best practices in modern engineering and enabling clients through transferring knowledge, coaching, training and upskilling.
The delivery principal is accountable for engagement excellence for our clients, building and maintaining solid client relationships as a trusted strategic advisor, and overall engagement success. Internally, this role will foster positive team morale, provide individual feedback and drive the staffing needs of an engagement. This role may have 4-10 direct team members directly reporting to them and potentially 8-10 second-line reports, from Associate Engineer to Technical Principal, and be responsible for one large engagement or several smaller engagements.

What You Do
This is a manager role. You’re happy being a “hands-on” trusted advisor for clients' DevOps transformation and guiding others to do the same.
We each bring varying degrees of knowledge to the table. You will have experience in several of these areas but not necessarily all of them. This is not a comprehensive list; there may be other equally valuable skills and experience you bring that are not listed here.
Delivery Excellence
  • Deliver with excellence - Execution of contractual obligations to deliverables, documentation, and providing an excellent customer experience
  • Delivery strategy - Working closely with leadership, Liatrio team members and the client, contribute to and evolve the overall strategy for the DevOps technical engagement
  • Trusted advisor - Guide clients on technical and methodological best practices, provide strategic influence, share industry insight, advocate for DevOps cultural and be a transformational consultant (remove political, financial, mental, social impediments)
  • Client relationship - Build, grow, and maintain Liatrio relationships with the key customer stakeholders
  • Technical knowledge - Architect solutions and solve complex engineering challenges in the engagement, as well as collaborate with both Liatrio team members and customer team members
  • Customer feedback - Maintain weekly and monthly updates, executive summaries, conduct regular surveys and gather feedback, measure outcomes, stakeholder check-ins
  • Oversight and accountability - Maintain resource forecast and actual, invoice accuracy, and timely submission
Team Development
  • Team morale and alignment - Accountable for overall morale and well-being of the Liatrio team engaged on the client
  • Direct reports - 4-8 team members of varying experience levels, coaching/mentoring with weekly 1:1s, real-time feedback, support career development, and formal feedback monthly bi-annually
  • Team accountability - Ensure accurate time tracking, alignment with contractual obligations, assist team members at first signs of struggle and balance delivery hours with internal projects
  • Staffing needs demands - Identifies and maps capabilities of the team to client needs, advise leadership and PeopleOps on hiring, onboarding, and rotation to prevent burnout
Liatrio Growth
  • Customer growth expansion - Support executives’ sales team’s work in providing an excellent customer experience, identifying opportunities for expansion, promoting Liatrio, and validating SOWs
  • Liatrio IP development - Leveraging our industry insights to create accelerators that will be valuable to future engagements, support our internal efforts and grow the community
Tools and Technologies
You will be expected to have a core understanding of the tools and technologies we use. You should have a strong understanding of the capabilities and be able to consult our clients on why and when to use them
  • Build systems, using technologies like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab
  • Infrastructure as Code, like Terraform or Cloud Formation
  • Cloud native technologies, such as Kubernetes and Istio
  • Cloud providers, like Microsoft Azure, AWS and Google Cloud
  • Observability, through tools such as Prometheus, Elasticsearch, Grafana, DataDog or Zipkin
  • Modern source control management systems and branching strategies
  • Application Development, comfortable reviewing code and empathizing with developers across the SDLC
Specifics
  • Full benefits including unlimited PTO, funded HSA option, 401k match, monthly LiveWell stipend, and quarterly company bonus
  • Annual base salary: $170,000- $200,000, depending on experience
Requirements
  • Employment eligibility: must be authorized to work in the United States or Canada without the need for sponsorship.
  • Travel availability: we divide our time between working remotely and visiting our client sites located throughout the U.S. Travel typically ranges from 8-12 times a year to a few times per month.
