Summary of the Role

The Hydraulic Hose Product Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives that drive brand growth, sales, and profitability for Private & Exclusive Brands. This role collaborates cross-functionally to optimize pricing strategies, enhance product marketing, and strengthen supplier relationships. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a solutions-based approach to sales and marketing.

Responsibilities

Brand Management and Sales Growth (Private/Exclusive Brands)

  • Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures
  • Develop and execute comprehensive brand strategies for private and exclusive brands within our portfolio.
  • Implement targeted sales initiatives, promotional campaigns, and product launches to drive revenue growth.
  • Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities for sales and profit expansion.
  • Oversee product development initiatives to align with market demands and business goals.
  • Lead and support conversion activities to Private/Exclusive Brands.
  • Act as the primary contact between LGG Industrial and the Private/Exclusive Brand Manufacturer.

Pricing Strategy (Private/Exclusive Brands)

  • Collaborate with the Pricing Group to establish competitive pricing structures that maximize profitability while remaining attractive to customers.
  • Monitor pricing performance, conduct competitive analysis, and adjust strategies as needed to maintain market leadership.
  • Support special pricing initiatives for large bid opportunities related to private and exclusive brands.

Product Marketing and Content Creation (Private/Exclusive Brands)

  • Develop compelling content for external websites, social media platforms, and marketing collateral.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to create materials that effectively showcase product value propositions.

Cross-Functional Project Leadership (Private/Exclusive Brands and other Large Strategic Projects)

  • Lead cross-functional projects that support the profitable growth of private and exclusive brands.
  • Set clear milestones and ensure timely execution of initiatives.
  • Ensure connectedness and sharing of best practices across all regions of North America.

Solutions-Based Approach (Private/Exclusive Brands)

  • Drive initiatives that shift the product category toward a solutions-based selling approach.
  • Develop value-added offerings that enhance customer experience and engagement.

Supplier Relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers.
  • Provide guidance to suppliers in aligning their products with market demands and trends.
  • Collaborate on joint marketing initiatives, promotional events, and product positioning strategies.

Supplier Expansion

  • Identify and onboard new suppliers that enhance our product range and capabilities.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of potential suppliers to align with company standards.

Product Training and Support

  • Develop and lead training programs for Sales and Customer Service teams, ensuring they have in-depth product knowledge.
  • Provide ongoing support and resources to enhance team readiness and customer engagement.
  • Provide technical and application support. (Private/Exclusive Brands Only)
  • Support part number, BOM, and kit creations for large projects. (Private/Exclusive Brands Only)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in brand management, product marketing, or a related role.
  • Experience as subject Matter Expert (SME) in Hydraulic Hose, Fittings, and accessories.
  • Experience and ability to interpret market trends and sales data.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and drive measurable results.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial or B2B markets.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
