Back-End Developer 100%WFH

The Back-End Developer will manage the interchange of data between the server and the users. The primary focus will be development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application. A basic understanding of front-end technologies is therefore necessary as well.

Make sure the website is scalable and that it can still function when hit by large loads—be that traffic or demanding scripts. They are also tasked with maintaining and testing existing back end elements to ensure they’re as fast and efficient as possible. Data storage also comes under their remit, which requires them to have a good knowledge of data security and compliance.

The developer will be working with a broad team of cross-functional resources across various organizations and will partner with client business and IT teams, owning technical aspects of an engagement. This role comes with significant visibility to management and requires excellent communication and presentation skillsets.

Formal studies

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or similar.

• 1+ year demonstrated information technology experience in application development, DevOps, and information technology capacity.

• 2+ years of experience as a Back-end Developer.

• Basic understanding of front-end technologies and platforms, such as JavaScript, HTMLS, and CSS3

• English: Advanced 80% - 90%

Responsibilities

1. Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging

2. Write clean code to develop functional applications

3. Troubleshoot and debug applications

4. Perform UI tests to optimize performance

5. Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve lepacy applications

6. Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic

7. Gather and address technical and design requirements

8. Build reusable code and libraries for future use

9. Liaise with developers, designers and system administrators to identify new features

10. Implementation of security and data protection

11. Design and implementation of data storage solutions

Position

Requirements Knowledge & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or direct and applicable work experience

• Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic

• Understanding accessibility and security compliance.

• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments

• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system.

• API Creation.

• Management of hosting environment, including database administration and scaling an application to support load changes

• Data migration, transformation, and scripting

• Setup and administration of backups

• Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms such as mobile vs desktop, environments like Development, Testing and Production, and optimizing output to match the specific platform

• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes

• Proficient knowledge of a back-end programming language like .NET, C++, C#, Python, SOL Server.

• Strong understanding and experience with Azure.

• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

• Understanding of “session management” in a distributed server environment.

• Troubleshoot and debug applications.

• Knowledge of REST web services.

Desirable experience in some or all of the following:

· Experience with Agile methodology.

· Experience implementing solution on cloud / hosted environments.

· Experience with Okta.

· Experience with Graph.
