The Professional Services Manager combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities. This role oversees a small team of direct reports while managing complex enterprise deployments. The ideal candidate excels in mentoring, project management, and technical problem-solving, serving as an escalation point for the team and a key liaison with customers and internal stakeholders. They play a crucial role in maintaining team performance, upholding best practices, and contributing to the strategic direction of the Professional Services department.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to direct reports, conducting regular 1:1 meetings and offering constructive feedback.
  • Manage and lead complex enterprise-level deployments, serving as a player/coach within the team.
  • Act as an escalation point for the Professional Services team, resolving complex challenges and liaising with sales teams and customers as needed.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the company's product portfolio and stay current with new technologies and industry trends.
  • Lead the onboarding process for new staff within the Professional Services team.
  • Coordinate training and mentoring programs for junior team members, assessing needs and measuring effectiveness.
  • Provide reporting statistics to senior management.
  • Lead by example, consistently demonstrating and promoting the company's key values.
  • Provide regular feedback to upper management on team performance and individual contributors.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the Professional Services department, identifying areas for improvement and growth.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
  • Represent the Professional Services team in cross-functional meetings and initiatives.
  • Provide genuine recommendations as to the hiring, firing, promotion, and discipline of subordinate employees to which the Company gives significant weight
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience with Gmail and Google Docs
  • Experience with MS Office (Word and Excel)
  • Experience with web browsers (Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.)
  • 2 year degree preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communications
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
