As a Technical Product Manager, you will drive the platform and integration strategy for a cutting-edge life sciences software platform. In this role, you will translate complex customer and partner technical requirements into actionable engineering deliverables, ensuring seamless, secure, and compliant integration across clinical systems. You will collaborate closely with engineering, data, product, and customer teams to deliver scalable solutions that optimize clinical trial design. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on technical problem-solving, allowing you to shape the platform architecture, define integration roadmaps, and measure success through KPIs. You will work in a dynamic, hybrid environment, contributing to a mission-driven culture focused on improving patient outcomes and accelerating drug development.
Accountabilities
- Own and execute the platform and integration strategy, defining roadmaps that strengthen scalability and interoperability.
- Translate customer and partner technical requirements into detailed product and integration specifications.
- Act as a solution consultant, designing, prototyping, and validating integration solutions with engineering and customer teams.
- Manage the end-to-end integration lifecycle, including discovery, design, testing, launch, and performance monitoring.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with data, engineering, product design, and customer strategy teams to ensure alignment and successful integration delivery.
- Define standards and tools to enable internal teams and external partners to build on the platform efficiently.
- Evaluate and prioritize integrations to enhance connectivity and data flow across the clinical trial ecosystem.
- Monitor KPIs for platform performance, integration uptime, adoption, and ecosystem growth.
- Stay current with industry interoperability standards (e.g., CDISC, HL7 FHIR, ODM) and ensure the platform evolves accordingly.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical field; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years focused on platforms, integrations, or technical products.
- Experience managing external integrations or platform ecosystems in life sciences.
- Strong technical foundation in data architecture, APIs, system integrations, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (preferably Python); SQL knowledge is a plus.
- Experience integrating products via external APIs and producing reports is beneficial.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communicator capable of bridging business and engineering domains.
- Experience in regulated data environments (HIPAA, GxP) is a plus.
- Flexibility to occasionally work East Coast hours to accommodate international customers.
