This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a SSR Software Development Engineer in Test in Latin America.
This role provides the opportunity to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable software by developing and executing automated tests across complex applications. You will collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and product owners to identify issues early in the development lifecycle. The position emphasizes both technical execution and strategic input on testability, automation frameworks, and quality standards. You will work in a fully remote, collaborative environment with autonomy and clear communication while contributing to continuous improvement of testing processes. Advanced English skills are required to effectively interact with international teams and clients.
Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
- Collaborate with QA and development teams to define testing strategies for new features.
- Participate in sprint planning, providing input on testability, quality, and potential risks.
- Execute automated test cases, analyze results, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Report bugs and issues to development teams with clear, detailed documentation.
- Continuously improve testing processes, automation tools, and coverage to enhance software reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in QA Automation.
- Proficiency with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience collaborating in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Advanced English level for client-facing collaboration and effective communication.
Preferred:
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build processes.
- Familiarity with testing web and mobile applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate quality issues.
