This role offers an exciting opportunity to design, build, and optimize scalable, cloud-native data pipelines that directly support analytics and operational needs. The Sr Data Engineer will collaborate across teams to ensure high-quality data, governance, and performance, while driving innovation in data engineering practices. You will mentor peers, integrate emerging technologies, and contribute to the evolution of a modern data platform. This position provides a mix of technical ownership, strategic input, and hands-on execution in a collaborative and supportive environment, enabling impactful data-driven decisions.
Accountabilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native data pipelines and processes that align with business and analytics objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and architects to integrate emerging technologies and evolve data platform capabilities.
- Optimize pipelines for performance, reliability, and maintainability, ensuring seamless data integration across systems.
- Establish automated testing frameworks and monitoring tools to maintain data accuracy and pipeline reliability.
- Conduct code reviews, debugging, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure compliance with technical and business standards.
- Mentor junior team members and actively share knowledge across cross-functional teams.
- Lead proof-of-concept initiatives and contribute to platform strategy and technical innovation.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Healthcare Data Science or similar with 3-5 years of experience in data engineering or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Science, or similar with 5-7 years of experience.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native data engineering, distributed systems, and modern data architecture.
- Proficiency with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Python, SQL, Spark, and Terraform.
- Strong understanding of data quality, governance, and performance optimization.
- Experience integrating emerging technologies into existing platforms.
- Ability to mentor and guide team members while driving technical innovation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Preferred: experience in healthcare or related data domains, and familiarity with hybrid cloud environments.
