This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer Test in the United States.
In this role, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex test automation frameworks and tools, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will mentor junior team members, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to continuous improvement of testing standards and practices. This position allows you to influence the quality and reliability of software products, implement performance and CI/CD testing, and provide insights that drive informed engineering decisions. Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks, tools, and reusable libraries to enhance test efficiency.
- Implement and improve continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes to facilitate automated testing.
- Conduct performance testing and provide analytical feedback to support release quality and stability.
- Define and enforce automation standards, coding guidelines, and best practices across the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide solutions, and ensure test coverage for medium-complex software changes.
- Mentor junior engineers, train team members on framework usage, and provide guidance for debugging and troubleshooting.
- Create, monitor, and analyze test results, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software testing and automation, including independent implementation of medium-sized frameworks and tools.
- 3+ years of development experience with Java and/or Python.
- Strong knowledge of automation frameworks, testing tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Appium), and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and Agile software development practices.
- Skilled in API testing methodologies and tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI, Curl).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring capabilities.
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements, technologies, and priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
