We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a fast-paced, innovative team working on large-scale ML-powered threat detection platforms. This role will be instrumental in designing, deploying, and maintaining secure and scalable infrastructure that supports real-time data pipelines, AI workloads, and production applications. You will collaborate closely with software, data, QA, and security teams, influence technology choices, and help build best-in-class operational processes. This position offers the chance to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies, drive platform reliability, and contribute directly to mission-critical projects in a startup environment.
Accountabilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes-based infrastructure across multiple environments.
- Build and manage Helm charts, Terraform modules, and CI/CD pipelines to support application and data workflows.
- Partner with development and ML teams to support cloud-based workloads on AWS, and optionally Azure.
- Containerize workloads with Docker and optimize developer workflows.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Terraform, Helm, and Ansible.
- Enhance monitoring and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, CloudWatch, or ELK stack.
- Implement secure-by-default practices to support SOC 2 compliance and other security requirements.
- Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative solutions.
- Mentor team members and foster a culture of documentation, knowledge sharing, and collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in production infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE roles.
- 2+ years of hands-on Kubernetes experience, including cluster provisioning, Helm, scaling, and optimization.
- Strong expertise with Terraform, Helm, and containerization (Docker).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, GitLab, or similar).
- Proficiency with AWS (EKS, RDS, IAM, Lambda, ECR); Azure/GCP experience is a plus.
- Scripting ability in Bash or Python, with automation-focused mindset.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, CloudWatch, Splunk, ELK).
- Knowledge of relational and messaging systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, Kafka, Snowflake).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, SDN).
- Security-conscious with experience designing systems to meet compliance requirements, including SOC 2.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for distributed systems and microservices.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving startup environment with cross-functional collaboration.
