In this role, you will serve as a technical lead, providing expert-level support and guidance for software sustainment and development projects. You will analyze complex functional requirements, design and implement robust software solutions, and ensure ongoing system efficiency. The position involves translating detailed specifications into effective code, performing testing and debugging, and creating comprehensive documentation for both program and user levels. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance large-scale applications, improving performance and operational efficiency. Accountabilities:
- Analyze functional business applications and design specifications across areas such as finance, logistics, personnel, and contracts.
- Develop block diagrams, logic flowcharts, and translate detailed designs into computer software.
- Design, code, test, debug, and refine software to deliver required functionality and performance.
- Prepare and maintain program-level and user-level documentation.
- Enhance existing software to optimize efficiency and reduce operating time.
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to other programmers as needed.
- Devise or modify procedures to solve complex technical problems considering system capacity and limitations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field; ten (10) years of relevant experience.
- Expert knowledge of sustainment lifecycle management activities for programs and project operations.
- Experience as an application programmer on large-scale DBMS and cloud environments.
- Proficiency with Oracle/Java-based systems and ability to develop complex software solutions.
- Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or hybrid environment.
