This role focuses on leading workforce development and employee engagement initiatives across a diverse, mission-driven organization. You will collaborate with department leaders to assess training needs, design and implement development programs, and support career progression, leadership development, and mentorship. The position emphasizes cultivating an inclusive and engaging work environment while improving employee satisfaction, retention, and organizational performance. You will manage programs that enhance onboarding, professional growth, and cultural awareness, as well as oversee grant-funded initiatives. The role combines strategic planning, program management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive meaningful impact within the workforce. This hybrid position requires occasional travel to multiple sites and active involvement in fostering a culture of innovation and inclusion.
Accountabilities:
- Partner with department leaders to identify and address workforce development needs.
- Design, implement, and manage programs including mentorship, leadership development, manager training, and career ladders.
- Develop and maintain onboarding and training programs for new hires to ensure smooth integration and engagement.
- Lead initiatives that promote employee engagement, inclusion, and cultural awareness.
- Oversee infrastructure and communication for workforce development programs, including surveys, reporting, and committee support.
- Manage workforce development grants and resources to support program objectives.
- Facilitate collaboration with senior leadership and educational institutions to expand learning opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Adult Education, Business, Instructional or Organizational Design, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in program management, workforce development, or employee engagement, preferably in non-profit or healthcare settings.
- Strong project management, facilitation, and program development skills.
- Experience with grant management and compliance preferred.
- Proficiency in Office 365 tools (PowerPoint, Excel) and familiarity with Confluence, SharePoint, LMS, or e-learning platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel to multiple sites and work a hybrid schedule.
