We are seeking a skilled PKI Certificate Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automated solutions for certificate lifecycle management across large-scale enterprise and government environments. This role will focus on streamlining certificate issuance, renewal, and monitoring through advanced automation tools and scripting. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Venafi Trust Protection Platform, strong scripting skills, and a deep understanding of PKI architecture and security compliance. You will collaborate closely with security and infrastructure teams, ensuring reliability, performance, and regulatory alignment while contributing to innovative solutions in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.
Accountabilities
- Design, implement, and manage automated PKI certificate issuance and renewal processes.
- Configure and administer Venafi Trust Protection Platform to support enterprise certificate management needs.
- Develop automation workflows and scripts using PowerShell, Python, or other appropriate tools to streamline certificate lifecycle operations.
- Monitor PKI systems to ensure performance, reliability, and timely certificate expiration handling.
- Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Document procedures, scripts, and automation workflows in accordance with internal and agency standards.
- Participate in project stand-ups, reporting, and outcome-based tracking to ensure projects meet goals and timelines.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Venafi Trust Protection Platform.
- Strong scripting skills for automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar languages.
- Deep understanding of PKI architecture, certificate lifecycle management, and secure configurations.
- Experience aligning automation solutions with security and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote, fast-paced environment.
- U.S. Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Residency required, with ability to work from the continental United States.
