We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Java Engineer to drive the development of scalable, high-performance applications in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining backend systems that support large-scale, data-driven solutions. Accountabilities:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of backend services using Java, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Oversee full software development lifecycle activities, from requirements gathering and architecture design to coding, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, DevOps, and QA to integrate services and maintain high system performance.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code to streamline development and delivery processes.
- Mentor junior engineers, share best practices, and foster a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to improve system efficiency, security, and scalability.
Requirements:

- 6+ years of professional experience in Java development, including leadership or team lead experience.
- Strong knowledge of backend frameworks, design patterns, and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Terraform, Git).
- Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with modern data storage solutions.
- Experience mentoring or leading engineering teams, fostering collaboration and technical growth.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Bonus: Exposure to machine learning operations (MLOps), feature stores, or large-scale data pipelines.
