Java Developer (Remote - US)

We are seeking a motivated Java Developer to join a dynamic team focused on building and maintaining modern insurance system applications. In this role, you will contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from designing and coding to testing and documentation, while collaborating closely with IT colleagues and business stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to expand your skills with Guidewire technologies and other enterprise systems, solving real-world problems that enhance system performance and business functionality. Accountabilities

• Design, code, test, debug, and document Java-based applications.
• Support the development and maintenance of insurance system projects.
• Collaborate with team members and IT colleagues to evaluate requirements and implement technical solutions that meet business needs.
• Participate in problem-solving discussions and provide ideas to improve system functionality and performance.
• Apply and expand knowledge of technologies used for internet, intranet, and internal applications.
• Gain hands-on experience with Guidewire and related technologies to support project goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
• Solid knowledge of Java programming; Python experience is a plus.
• Exposure to or interest in Guidewire Insurance Suite (experience preferred but not required).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated to complete tasks independently.
