This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a G2 Infrastructure Engineer | Active Top Secret clearance in the United States.
The G2 Infrastructure Engineer will provide critical support and system administration for enterprise applications, focusing on CNIC G2 systems and cloud infrastructure. This role involves managing servers, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting production issues, and participating in strategic technology planning. You will work on cloud migration initiatives, develop architectural solutions, and implement automation and DevSecOps processes to optimize platform performance. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders, mentoring junior administrators, and providing guidance on best practices for network, system, and application management. This is a high-impact role suited for someone with a strong technical foundation and a commitment to enhancing enterprise IT operations.
Accountabilities
- Provide system administration and maintenance support for CNIC G2 applications, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve production issues affecting application performance.
- Support cloud migration efforts, including G2 application migration, cloud architecture development, and IaaS/EDW landing zone initiatives.
- Implement and maintain F5 configurations and network solutions within the data center.
- Participate in enterprise architecture planning, presenting solutions to stakeholders for input and approval.
- Conduct daily server checks, monitor alerts, manage account access, and troubleshoot Tier II/III tickets.
- Mentor and coach system administrators on troubleshooting methodologies, network, and platform best practices.
- Support DevSecOps, automation, and pilot programs, including PowerPlatform and ServiceNow GPC initiatives.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret clearance (or Secret with completed T5 investigation).
- 10+ years of relevant IT experience in infrastructure engineering, systems administration, and enterprise application support.
- BS degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- DoD 8570 IAT II compliant โ CompTIA Security+ CE certification required.
- Strong experience with server management, network troubleshooting, monitoring tools, patching, and cloud migrations.
- Proficient in system administration for large-scale enterprise platforms and familiarity with DevSecOps processes.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and mentor junior staff.
- Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision, travel <10% as required.
