This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Fractional CTO / SME (Tech Due Diligence) in India.
In this role, you will act as a senior technology advisor for high-stakes acquisitions, providing expert assessments of technology companies to guide strategic investment decisions. You will evaluate software, infrastructure, IP, and operational capabilities of potential targets, producing actionable insights that inform deal-making. This position requires close collaboration with executive leadership to identify risks, synergies, and opportunities, ensuring that acquisitions deliver long-term value. The environment is fast-paced, dynamic, and intellectually challenging, offering exposure to cutting-edge technologies, innovative business models, and top-tier investment strategies. You will influence critical business outcomes and shape the technology roadmap for portfolio companies, while working remotely and flexibly on a contract basis.
Accountabilities:
- Lead comprehensive technical due diligence for potential acquisition targets, including software, infrastructure, cloud, and IP evaluation.
- Assess financial, operational, and technological risks, providing mitigation strategies and actionable recommendations.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings, highlighting opportunities, risks, and strategic implications for executive leadership.
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to guide decision-making, deal structuring, valuation, and post-acquisition technology integration.
- Evaluate target companies for integration challenges, synergies, and growth potential within the acquiring firm’s ecosystem.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and market trends to inform strategic assessments.
- Mentor and advise multidisciplinary due diligence teams on technical evaluation methodologies and best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in technology due diligence, acquisitions, or strategic technology advisory.
- Deep understanding of software systems, cloud infrastructure, and intellectual property evaluation.
- Strong financial modeling skills, especially in the valuation of technology assets.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to senior leadership.
- Project management expertise and experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, Finance, or a related field; advanced degrees (MBA, M.S.) preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment with flexible scheduling.
