We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Solution Architect to design and implement cloud-native solutions that optimize performance, scalability, and security. This role involves leading architecture for complex software projects, collaborating with development and operations teams, and guiding the adoption of DevOps practices. You will shape application, network, and infrastructure strategies across enterprise-scale environments, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, mentors other engineers, and applies best practices to modern cloud architectures. Accountabilities:
- Design and implement cloud-native applications leveraging Azure services such as App Services, Azure Functions, AKS, and Logic Apps.
- Define microservices architecture, API management strategies, and integration patterns to ensure scalable, secure, and performant solutions.
- Architect secure network topologies using Azure Virtual Networks, Subnets, NSGs, VPN Gateways, ExpressRoute, and Private Endpoints.
- Lead infrastructure architecture planning using Azure IaaS and PaaS, including compute, storage, backup, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Collaborate with development teams to guide solution implementation and DevOps practices, ensuring adherence to design standards and governance policies.
- Optimize system performance, reliability, and security while maintaining cost efficiency and compliance with enterprise policies.
- Mentor technical staff, review code, provide constructive feedback, and drive the adoption of best practices across projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. Postgraduate degree is a plus.
- 8+ years of IT architecture experience, with at least 5 years focused on Azure cloud solutions.
- Expertise in Azure compute, networking, storage, security, and enterprise-scale solution design.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Strong background in .NET Framework, .NET Core, C#, REST APIs, and front-end frameworks such as Angular or React.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including MS SQL Server.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, and cloud security best practices (MFA, SSL, SAML, encryption).
- Excellent stakeholder management, verbal and written communication, and analytical skills.
- Relevant certifications preferred: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Network Engineer Associate, TOGAF or other enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Finance industry experience is advantageous but not required.
