IT Concepts Chief Innovation Office is recruiting a Senior DevOps Engineer to promote innovation across all of ITC’s projects and programs. This role is part of a fast-paced and fast-growing office within ITC. Innovation is a priority for ITC and a priority for our leadership. The CINO Innovation team is a cross functional team chartered to advance collaboration, efficiency, and adoption of emerging technologies - this role will support leadership and assess, define, and capitalize on technology and process opportunities for ITC and our clients. You will have the opportunity to work directly with the other CINO innovation team members in specialty technology areas and collaborate on initiatives that will promote innovation withing ITC and out clients.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing our AWS infrastructure to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our applications and services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to automate processes, optimize system performance, and drive continuous improvement in our development and deployment workflows. The ideal candidate will bring experience in cloud technologies and methodologies as well as strong DevOps process transformation skills to enhance the team's capabilities. Relevant experience for this role may include any or all of the following: AWS Code Build/Code Deploy, Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKR, Cloud Formation, management consulting skills, technology research, business research, entrepreneurship, software development in Python/Node/Java/.NET and cloud engineering.

Primary Responsibilities

  • AWS Services: Design and deploy scalable and reliable cloud architectures and applications within that architecture using services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, ECS, EKS
  • CI/CD: Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes using tools like AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, and GitLab CI
  • Monitoring: Monitor system health, performance, and security, and implement proactive measures to ensure uptime and reliability using tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, and ELK
  • Containerization: Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement and manage infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Database: Experience with database technologies such as RDS, Athena, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or DynamoDB and proficiency in database management tasks in AWS
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in AWS and DevOps to continuously improve our infrastructure and processes
  • Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize application performance, and streamline deployment processes

Requirements

  • 9+ years of experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science related field or 4+ more years of experience.
  • A strong understanding of DevOps principles and best practices
  • Ability to operate in an Agile SCRUM environment
  • Past experience developing in Java, Python, Node, and/or .NET
  • Linux familiarity and scripting skills
  • In-depth understanding of CloudFormation, CDK and/or Terraform
  • Automated deployment within an AWS cloud environment using Code Build/Code Deploy/Code Pipeline
  • Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer) are a plus.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and residing/working from US location (EST preferred)

Preferred:

  • Problem Solving - Use technologies to design solutions for key business use cases and provide support for the implementation of the Innovation strategy.
  • Leadership Skills - This role requires the ability to interact / lead with other teams and lead discussions relating to specific technical processes.
  • Prototyping – Ability to investigate, learn, demonstrate, and implement a variety of solutions across multiple technology and process areas.
  • Mentoring—The Ability to mentor and guide project performers in the demonstrated technology and process areas so they can be successful in implementing any identified innovations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a computer science related field
