Summary
We are seeking a talented Marketing Manager at Midnight, to join the Midnight team at IOG. Midnight is a regulatory-friendly data protection-based blockchain that safeguards sensitive commercial and personal data, protecting fundamental freedoms of association, commerce, and expression for developers, companies, and individuals. Midnight utilizes a novel data protection-first programming model and ZK proofs.
As a Marketing Manager at Midnight, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining outbound marketing campaigns that educate consumers and businesses about Midnight’s data protection blockchain and work cross-functionally to project manage and execute brand awareness messaging, educational campaigns, product launches, and more.
Main Objectives
- Determine, plan and execute comprehensive marketing campaigns that align product roadmap, industry-level current events and business objectives across all channels (web, social, events, etc).
- Work closely with Product Marketing to ensure consistent messaging across all channels and assets.
- Manage the relationship with external partners and internal stakeholders to ensure cross-functional dependencies are communicated and are delivered on time.
- Advise, develop and maintain marketing campaigns and product launch calendar in relation to business progress and external events to ensure messages are delivered at the right time.
- Own and deliver campaign launch strategy presentations to external partners, the Midnight marketing team and Midnight’s leadership.
- Keep abreast of cross-functional stakeholder roles and responsibilities for each campaign.
- Report on campaign performance and advise on improvements and actions to optimize future campaigns.
- Conduct market research and familiarize yourself with the best in class marketing campaigns throughout the web3 and blockchain industry.
Duties
Research & Analysis- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments related to Web3, blockchain, zero knowledge and data protection technology.
- Conduct analysis to see how Midnight’s competitors reach their target audiences and identify opportunities for differentiation.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of social media activity and make recommendations for what we can improve in future.
- Stay up to date with the latest go-to-market best practices, trends, and technologies.
Campaign Design & Content Creation
- Work with colleagues to create compelling and relevant marketing campaigns including content marketing, email campaigns, social media, events and more.
- Develop strategies to encourage audience engagement and interactions.
- Curate and share relevant industry news, updates, and insights to keep our team and audience informed and engaged.
Analysis & Reporting
- Use analytical tools to monitor and evaluate Midnight’s market performance across multiple marketing channels, product analytics and community engagement.
- Report to the Marketing Team and Midnight Leadership on campaign performance on a regular basis, and make recommendations for where we can improve or invest further in supporting our growing community.
Collaborations and Partnerships
- Identify people and organizations where collaboration or a formal partnership could increase reach or benefit the Midnight’s products and community.
- Recommend potential marketing channels or messages which present a strong opportunity to engage existing and prospective Midnight audiences.
- Work with the Midnight Advisory Board (respected thought leaders and practitioners in the areas of Blockchain, cryptography and data protection) to ideate on unique and compelling content.
Requirements

- Have strong knowledge of marketing best practices to understand how to identify and engage relevant users of our solutions.
- Deep understanding of technical audiences and user segmentation, such as developers, engineers, IT professionals, etc.
- Have a keen interest in Blockchain technology developments, trends in Web3, and market/competitive developments in this space.
- Have strong project management skills, be resourceful and use initiative.
- Bring creativity and a desire to be innovative when it comes to designing and creating marketing activities and content.
- Leverage strong interpersonal skills to drive marketing campaigns alongside a team of world-class engineers and business leaders.

- Set clear strategic guidelines and objectives for campaigns and initiatives.
- Identify team objectives and KPIs to attain, and ensure their completion.
- Be a single point of contact for coordination and decision making, as well as coordinate other team members activities and priorities between Midnight’s marketing team and external partners.
- Speak clearly and persuasively in all situations, conduct effective presentations and productive meetings involving various internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with strong quantitative analysis skills.
- A strong team player, results oriented, metrics driven and capable of working in a fast paced, changing environment.
Education / Experience
- 3-5+ years of experience and proven track record in developing multi-channel roadmaps.
- Experience managing cross-functional projects to deliver campaigns and product launches on time.
- Experience with any marketing automation and CRM software. (Hubspot, Asana, Jira preferred)
- Demonstrated track record of effective project management and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience defining metrics and measuring the success of campaigns or initiatives that are launched.
- Experience working in an Agile environment and engaging with multi-disciplinary and technical engineering teams.
- Ability to travel internationally.
- Bonus: Experience in blockchain, web3 projects, or open-source developer tooling.
