INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking a SeniorElectrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in supporting E-House Solutions across industries such as Oil & Gas (Upstream, Midstream, Downstream), Petrochemicals, and Utilities. What You’ll Lead and Deliver
- Design, installation, testing, and commissioning of: Low Voltage Switchgear & Motor Control Centers (MCCs) ,Medium Voltage Switchgear & MCCs ,AC & DC UPS systems ,Transformer systems ,Power Management Systems (PMS), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Soft Starters
- Review and validate electrical system designs, schematics, layouts, and technical documents to ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and client requirements.
- Possess working knowledge of maintenance practices for LV/MV electrical systems, which will be considered an added advantage.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of low and medium voltage switchgear construction, testing, and operational philosophy.
- Maintain a basic understanding of HVAC system design and its electrical interfaces for integrated project execution.
- Review Project RFQs, contracts, and technical specifications to ensure project scope is fully understood and executed in line with customer requirements and sales commitments.
- Lead project engineering and execution activities, including task allocation, monitoring, and coordination among team members.
- Perform engineering effort estimation for design, construction, testing, and commissioning activities and develop detailed project budgets.
- Ensure project execution is completed within approved budgets, allocated man-hours, and schedules.
- Conduct technical reviews of engineering deliverables as per the project execution plan.
- Ensure strict adherence to the Project QA/QC Plan, both internally and by subcontractors and suppliers.
- Coordinate with site teams to ensure safe execution of site activities in compliance with HSE requirements.
- Drive value engineering and cost optimization initiatives to achieve project cost improvement targets without compromising quality or safety.
- Review and validate supplier technical offers to ensure full compliance with project specifications.
- Prepare detailed Scope of Work (SOW) for contractors and ensure complete scope clarity prior to contract award.
- Coordinate with suppliers for engineering documentation, manufacturing, inspection, and project deliverables.
- Support timely resolution of technical clarifications and deviations with suppliers and customers.
- Work closely with the project planning team to develop: Detailed project schedules, Phase-wise progress trackers for engineering, construction, testing, and commissioning
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams (process, instrumentation, control, mechanical, civil, and commissioning) to ensure seamless project execution.
- Interface with site execution teams to ensure timely mobilization, execution, and completion of project activities.
- Support the pre-sales team during bidding and solution development phases.
- Assist in: Development of Bid BOM / MTO, Engineering estimation and technical basis.
- Identification of exclusions and assumptions
- Review and technical evaluation of vendor quotations
- Participate in technical clarifications and bid closing discussions with customers and vendors.
Requirements
To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s/Master Degree in engineering in Electrical Engineering
- Shall have 5+ years of engineering design & commissioning experience with minimum 2 years of experience in a lead role and 2 years of on-site experience in the installation & commissioning of electrical systems.
- Shall be Self driven, able to carve out solutions to challenging problems, out of the box thinker, able to demonstrate proactiveness in day-to-day activities, able to interact and directly handle customer at different levels.
- Familiar with design process including specifications, drawings and documents for electrical equipment like LV/MV switchgears, UPS, transformers etc.
- Hands on experience of installation, commissioning and testing of electrical equipment and packages.
Note: This is a remote role & would require international travel to sites.
