Instrument is a digitally native design and technology company built to help brands unlock their full potential. Since 2005, our 300+ team of makers, thinkers, and storytellers has partnered with leading brands like Google, Nike, Uber, ŌURA, and Eventbrite to craft digital experiences that create impact and drive results.
Unlike traditional agencies, we don’t just design—we build. Our work lives at the intersection of taste and technology, powered by curiosity, thoughtful curation, and a commitment to delivering the most fitting solution for every brief. We bring this to life across three core offerings: Brand, Marketing, and Product.
As a member of our freelance network, you’ll collaborate with our teams to bring bold ideas to life—whether launching new brands, building digital products, or shaping experiences that move people. We welcome collaborators from all backgrounds and experiences who share our curiosity, creativity, and care for craft.
We believe great work comes from diverse perspectives and shared purpose. If you’re passionate about learning, experimenting, and making work that matters, we’d love to hear from you.
As Program Manager, Office of the C-Suite, you won’t sit on the sidelines advising. You’ll be in the room where decisions happen, translating vision into action, and ensuring the company’s most important initiatives move from idea to impact. You’ll work across teams and disciplines, connecting dots, removing roadblocks, and creating the systems that make momentum possible.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in complexity, brings structure to chaos, and knows how to turn vision into measurable progress. This role turns executive vision into real-world progress—building the systems, clarity, change management, and momentum that keep the C-suite’s most important initiatives moving forward.

What You'll Do
- Make Things. You’re a maker at heart. You turn ideas into motion and create clarity through artifacts — decks, briefs, dashboards, updates — whatever it takes to move work forward and keep people aligned.
- Pivot, and Then Pivot Again. You’re fluid, proactive, and comfortable in the gray. The future isn’t fixed, it’s shaped by how we show up, guide others, and adapt as we go.
- Keep the Big Things Moving. You’ll help drive the most important initiatives across the company, translating big, ambitious goals into real plans with milestones, owners, and momentum. You define the roadmap and do not need to be told what to do next.
- Connect the Dots. You’ll bring teams together, surface risks early, and make sure everyone’s rowing in the same direction, from the C-suite to cross-functional partners.
- Bring Visibility to the Work. You’ll build simple, clear systems that show where we’re making progress, where we’re stuck, and what’s next, creating visibility for leadership and the broader team.
- Clear the Path. When you see a bottleneck, you find a way through. You’ll design more effective processes, identify inefficiencies, and help the organization move faster and smarter.
- Be the Execution Partner. You’ll act as the operational right hand to the CEO, keeping priorities on track, meetings productive, and communication tight. You make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
- Tell the Story & Manage Change. You’ll craft updates, recaps, and comms that bring clarity, helping people see not just what’s happening, but why it matters and bring the teams along.
What You Bring
- 7+ years of experience in program management, business operations, or strategy execution in a fast-paced creative/technology, consulting, or agency environment.
- Proven ability to run multiple large-scale initiatives with executive visibility.
- Strong background in project/program management tools and frameworks.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills—able to simplify complexity and keep executives aligned.
- Experience building dashboards, OKRs, or KPI tracking systems for senior leadership.
- High emotional intelligence; ability to work with C-Suite stakeholders and anticipate needs.
