SQL/SSIS Senior Developer

ROLE:

We are seeking a SQL/SSIS Senior Developer.

OVERVIEW:

• Seeking a highly skilled and experienced SQL developer & data architect
• He/ She will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining the client's data architecture and database systems for their reporting environment.
• They will be part of an agile team that combines various backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives to solve complex problems within cloud and beyond.
• The person will also be required to participate actively in brainstorming sessions for improvement opportunities and take it to completion.
• A suitable candidate should have 9+ years of IT experience with at least 7+ years of experience working as an SQL developer & Data Architect.
• Experience in life insurance is preferred but not mandatory.

• Application development Skillsets:
  • Strong computer science fundamentals such as algorithms, data structures, multithreading, object-oriented development, distributed applications, client-server architecture
  • Ability to design and implement data processes:
    • Strong SQL and work experience with MS SQL, or UDB.
    • Strong experience with Stored Procedures
  • Expand and optimize data pipelines, data flow, and collection for cross-functional teams.
  • Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture by assembling large, complex data sets to meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
  • Ability to quickly pick up and understand where solutions would be appropriate for business applications.
  • Identify and implement internal process improvements including automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability.
  • Support the building of data platforms and infrastructure required for optimal data extraction, transformations, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources.
  • Work with architecture, data, and design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support data infrastructure needs.
  • Experience with SSIS and ETL/ELT
  • Desirable skills, but not required:
    • Cloud exposure
    • Denodo exposure
    • Some Mainframe Development background
  • Experience in web services, streaming and messaging technologies is a plus.
  • Proven ability to optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing and stored procedure optimization.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and inspire a team.
  • Experience with collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing client and stakeholder expectations.
  • Demonstrated experience with data governance, data security and privacy regulations.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

• Bachelors/masters degree in computer science/engineering, operations research, or related analytics areas welcome to apply.
• 9+ years experience as an SQL Data Architect, preferably in Life Insurance but not mandatory
• Capability of designing complex data architecture solutions
