Android QA Engineer

We are currently seeking an Android QA Engineerto join our client’s team, a dynamic and collaborative group dedicated to delivering high-quality Android applications. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and execution of advanced test automation strategies, ensuring seamless and robust mobile experiences for users.

This opportunity is ideal for an individual who excels in a collaborative environment, understands the challenges of mobile testing (such as device fragmentation), and has a passion for automation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks for Android apps.
• Create and execute comprehensive test plans and scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and UX teams to provide early, actionable feedback.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.
• Apply mobile testing best practices (real devices, emulators, OS-specific behaviors).
• Actively participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and release discussions.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and document complex issues.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and share best practices in automation and mobile testing.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience in test automation, with focus on Android mobile applications.
• Proficient in Kotlin with experience using Espresso, UI Automator, or similar frameworks.
• Solid understanding of Android architecture and mobile-specific testing challenges.
• Strong background in CI/CD processes and integration of tests in pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with tools like Appium, Firebase Test Lab, BrowserStack, etc.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in the payments industry or knowledge of PCI DSS compliance.
• Exposure to performance, security, or accessibility testing on Android.
• Familiarity with REST API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST-assured).
• Experience testing cross-platform mobile frameworks (e.g., Flutter, React Native).
