About Impact Fire Services
Established in 2009, Impact Fire Services was born from the vision of a collective of seasoned industry professionals who aimed to construct a premier fire protection and life safety company. Their journey began in Houston, Texas, with a commitment to delivering superior customer service and technical expertise, which quickly allowed them to forge enduring relationships with prominent businesses in their initial markets. The early years were focused on building a strong foundation based on these principles. A significant turning point arrived in 2012 when Caltius Equity Partners acquired Impact Fire. This strategic move provided the company with the essential resources to broaden its horizons beyond its Texas origins. The following year, in 2013, Academy Fire joined forces with Impact Fire under Caltius's ownership, leading to the creation of Impact Facility Services. This marked a period of expansion, with Impact Fire extending its Texas operations into San Antonio and College Station in the same year, and acquiring Protective Systems in Florida in 2014.
The company's growth trajectory continued with the opening of a self-perform operation in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2015. By 2016, Impact Fire was serving six offices in Texas. A new chapter began in 2017 when Audax Group acquired Impact Facility Services, with a clear objective to build merger and acquisition capabilities and drive expansion through acquisitions. This led to the rebranding of Impact Facility Services to AI Fire in 2018. Under this new banner, Impact Fire made significant inroads into the Northeast by acquiring leading fire and life safety services companies. The company also strengthened its presence in the Denver area. The expansion continued consistently, with new locations and acquisitions across various states including Arizona, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. In the spring of 2021, AI Fire was acquired by TruArc Partners, with the explicit goal of further amplifying Impact Fire's national presence. Most recently, in 2024, AI Fire and its operating companies, Academy Fire and Impact Fire, were acquired by Blackstone, Inc., signaling another phase of strategic growth and development for the company as it continues to provide comprehensive fire protection services across the United States.
