Sr. Web Analytic Strategist

IDIQ is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Web Analytics Strategist who will take ownership of our digital analytics program and turn data into meaningful insights that guide strategy across the organization focusing on analyzing user behavior, product performance, marketing effectiveness, and key website metrics to uncover trends and opportunities. Working with tools such as Heap, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Mixpanel, or Amplitude to ensure accurate data collection and reporting, as well as translate findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations. Connecting digital and customer data, the Senior Web Analytics Strategist will help shape decisions that directly impact engagement, retention, and business outcomes.

This position requires a highly analytical and self-directed professional who demonstrates the ability to solve complex problems independently while exercising sound judgment in identifying opportunities for collaboration. The role calls for a proactive, detail-oriented individual who is accountable for managing projects end to end — encompassing data validation, insight generation, and the clear communication of findings and implications to stakeholders. Success in this role will be measured by the consistent delivery of impactful results, adherence to deadlines, and the establishment of credibility as the primary subject-matter expert for digital analytics within the organization.

Job Responsibilities

Web Analytics:

  • Act as the organization’s subject matter expert for web analytics, taking full ownership of data strategy, implementation, and insights.
  • Define, monitor, and report on key metrics such as traffic, conversion, engagement, retention, and customer journeys across brands and platforms.
  • Translate complex web and customer data into actionable insights that drive product, marketing, and business decisions.

Data Collection, Tagging and QA:

  • Implement tracking as needed within tag management tools and/or web analytics tools.
  • QA implementations to ensure accuracy and reliability of all data collected, proactively identifying and resolving tracking gaps or discrepancies.

A/B Testing: Design:

  • Use insights derived from web data to generate ideas for optimizing user experience, funnel performance, and overall business outcomes.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Extract, transform, and analyze large datasets using SQL (BigQuery, or similar tools) to uncover trends and measure impact.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Looker Studio (or equivalent BI tools) that track KPIs, highlight opportunities, and clearly communicate performance to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactively identify shifts in user behavior or anomalies in data and recommend strategies to address them.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Act as the bridge between web data and the business by working closely with product, marketing, engineering, finance, customer support, and leadership teams.
  • Educate stakeholders on data-driven decision making, ensuring analytics are embedded in planning and execution
  • Operate with a high degree of independence, managing priorities and delivering impactful results with minimal oversight.

Additional duties

  • Must handle and maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive consumer information in compliance with applicable privacy and data protection regulations.
  • Must follow all company policies and procedures regarding data privacy and protection and data loss prevention.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.
  • Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in web/digital analytics, with experience in a senior or lead capacity.
    • Demonstrated expertise with major web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics/GA4, Heap, Adobe Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude)
    • Advanced knowledge of tag management tools, such as Google Tag Manager and Ensighten.
    • Hands-on experience building and maintaining dashboards in Looker Studio, Tableau, or Power BI.
    • Proven track record of designing, executing, and analyzing A/B and multivariate tests (experience with VWO, Optimizely, or similar tools).
    • Proficiency in SQL (BigQuery or equivalent) for querying and analyzing large, complex datasets
  • Core Skills & Competencies: Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving data anomalies or inconsistencies.
    • Strategic thinker who can interpret complex data and translate it into clear, actionable recommendations.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting insights to senior leadership.
    • Self-driven, proactive, collaborative, organized, and results-oriented

Preferred Skill and Experience:

  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, or other programming languages
  • Agency experience or experience managing analytics programs across multiple products simultaneously
  • Familiarity with advanced analytics techniques such as predictive modeling, cohort analysis, or lifetime value (LTV) modeling.
  • Experience with a subscription-based business and metrics such as retention, churn, and recurring revenue
  • Proficiency with Jira or other project management tools for tracking requests and prioritization.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to envision and communicate the big picture in an inspiring way.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly and proficiently understand and absorb new information.
  • Ability to structure and process qualitative or quantitative data and draw insightful conclusions from it.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional skills with the ability to engage, listen, and collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders
  • Ability to multitask with a high volume of tasks
  • Flexibility to handle rapid and frequent change and interest in taking on new tasks.
  • High level of organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and time-manage across multiple deadlines.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a high level of intellectual curiosity.
  • Acts without being told what to do. Brings new ideas to the company.

Position Details: This is a full-time position, salaried, exempt (40+ hours/week).

Pay: The pay range for this position is a minimum of $95,000 to a maximum of $125,000 annually. The actual compensation offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

The employee is regularly required to push, or otherwise move up to 10-30lbs of various equipment.
