What will you be doing as a Senior Software Engineer
As a Senior Software Engineer at iamproperty you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of complex web-based applications, websites, and software solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, business analysts, UX designers, and other software engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements.
- You willbe a valuable part of the highly collaborative cross-functional Scrum squad.
- You will bring experience and steer the discovery, development, and maintenance of complex web-based applications, websites, and software solutions.
- You will provide technical leadership and mentorship to less experienced software engineers.
- You will participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure code quality.
- You will write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that adheres to industry standards.
- You will troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimisation and functionality.
- Contributes to the development of organisational policies, standards, and guidelines for software engineering.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (desirable)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in PHP development
- Minimum of 2 years AWS and/or other cloud-based technologies (e.g. Azure, Google Cloud, etc.)
- Strong understanding of PHP frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter, etc.) and related technologies (MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, etc.)
- Experience with agile software development methodologies
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
This role will require some regular travel to our Newcastle office.
