Position Summary

Huron is seeking a Digital Consulting Architect to support healthcare clients across data, reporting, analytics, and automation initiatives. This role is ideal for a self-motivated, technically strong consultant who enjoys solving complex problems, working independently, and learning new technologies in fast-paced client environments.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on healthcare experience, strong SQL and reporting skills, and the ability to translate business and clinical needs into effective technical solutions. Experience with EHR platforms (e.g., Oracle Health/Cerner, MEDITECH, Epic, or similar) and automation tools is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and supportdata, reporting, and analytics solutionsfor healthcare clients

  • Partner with client stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements and translate them into technical designs

  • Develop andmaintainSQL-based queries, data extracts, andreportingdatasets

  • Build, enhance, and support reports and dashboards usingSSRS, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools

  • Support data integration and transformation activities usingSQL Server, SSIS, and related technologies

  • Contribute to healthcare reporting use cases includingclinical, operational, financial, and regulatory reporting

  • Leverageautomation tools and scripting(e.g., Boston Workstation, Summit, or similar) to improve efficiency and scalability

  • Support EHR-related data and reporting efforts, including:

  • Oracle Health / Cerner

  • MEDITECH

  • Epic or other healthcare platforms

  • Applycritical thinking and problem-solving skillsto troubleshoot issues and recommend practical solutions

  • Work independently while collaborating effectively with broader project teams

  • Document technical designs, processes, and solutions in a clear, client-ready manner

  • Stay current with emerging technologies, includingAI-enabled analytics and automation, and apply them where appropriate

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Healthcare industry experience (required)—clinical, financial, operational, or IT analytics

  • Strong experience withSQLfor querying, data analysis, and reporting

  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following:

  • SSRS

  • Power BI

  • Tableau

  • Experience working withSQL Server, including data structures and performance considerations

  • Experience withVisual StudioandSSISfor report and data integration development

  • Demonstrated experience inreport writing and data analysis

  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality work with minimal oversight

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences

  • Working knowledge ofOracle Health (Cerner),MEDITECH,Epic, or other EHR platforms

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Demonstratedproficiencywith proprietary EHR reporting tools such asMEDITECH BCA, Report Writer or Report Designer, Oracle (Cerner) CCL

  • OracleorPostgresdatabase management systems and related querying tools

  • Experience withautomation tools or scripting frameworks(e.g., Boston Workstation, Summit, or similar)

  • Exposure toAI, machine learning, or advanced analyticsin a healthcare context

  • Experience supporting large-scale healthcare IT or analytics implementations

  • Prior consulting experience in a client-facing role

  • Team or project leadership experience

The estimated base salary for this job is $120,000 - $145,000 USD. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $134,400 - $171,100 USD. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
