The company secured significant funding from various venture capital firms, allowing it to expand its operations globally, with co-headquarters in London and San Francisco and additional offices in New York City and Washington D.C. Huddle's platform gained considerable traction, being adopted by a large percentage of UK central government departments and major corporations like NASA, Grant Thornton, and Williams Lea. In 2017, Huddle was acquired by the private equity firm Turn/River Capital. Later, in December 2020, it was acquired by Ideagen, a leading global provider of information management software for regulated industries. Under Ideagen, Huddle continues to operate as a key product, now known as Ideagen Huddle, complementing Ideagen's existing suite of software with its secure document collaboration and client portal capabilities. The acquisition aims to create a comprehensive offering for secure collaboration and compliance, addressing the increasing need for remote work solutions in secure environments.
