Overview

As part of the Global Information Security Team Hitachi Digital, we are passionate advocates of Cybersecurity. As the Senior IT Project Manager, reporting to the CISO and part of the leadership team, you will be responsible for leading complex, multidisciplinary technology initiatives from initiation through delivery. This role oversees project planning, execution, governance, risk management, resource coordination, vendor management, and communication across business and technical teams. The Senior IT PM ensures projects are completed on time, within scope, within budget, and in alignment with organizational objectives and technology standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

  • Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project plans, timelines, schedules, task assignments, and milestones.
  • Establish project governance structures, communication plans, and reporting processes as needed.
  • Drive execution across cross-functional teams including Infrastructure, Applications, Cybersecurity, PMO, and Business stakeholders.
  • Track progress and adjust plans proactively to mitigate risks and resolve issues.

Status Reporting & Communication

  • Deliver weekly status updates to stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Provide visibility into accomplishments, upcoming work, key decisions, issues, risks, and budget status.

Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Coordinate procurement activities for software, licensing, IT services, and hardware.
  • Work closely with Procurement, Legal, and Finance teams to manage contracts, renewals, and vendor deliverables.
  • Maintain cost tracking, forecasts, and budget projections.

Technical & Operational Alignment

  • Support updates to TOM, TSA (Transition Services Agreement) materials, and other project documentation.

Risk, Issue, and Dependency Management

  • Identify, log, and manage project risks, issues, and inter‑project dependencies.
  • Develop mitigation plans and escalate when required.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead cross-functional meetings, workshops, and working sessions.
  • Ability to communicate clearly to all levels within the team and across the organization.
  • Coach junior PMs and project coordinators as needed.
  • Foster strong relationships across IT, business units, and external partners.

Required Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of IT project management experience managing large, complex technology initiatives.
  • Proven experience with software implementations, infrastructure projects, cloud migrations, cybersecurity initiatives, or enterprise‑wide transformations.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid).
  • Expertise in vendor and contract management.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Azure DevOps, Jira).

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, PMIACP, SAFe, or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with M&A, divestitures, or Transition Services Agreements (TSAs).
  • Experience in large global or matrixed organizations.
  • Budget management experience across multi‑million‑dollar programs.
