What's the role?
Team:You will be part of Traffic Predictive and Development team. This a real-time traffic predictive system with big data processing that predicts traffic on roadways worldwide. This is part of Advance Traffic offering from HERE and can be served to both automotive and non-automotive customers. This is a big focus area of HERE Traffic in 2023 and beyond. This system has a very high SLA needs and several features are in pipeline. There is opportunity to work in areas like machine learning which is being looked into.
In this role, you will:
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle of our service
- Develop an innovative, scalable, high-quality system within a cross-functional team
- Write clean, simple, and well-tested code following TDD
- Contribute ideas for new features and identify areas for improvement
- Contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery of systems and infrastructure
- Collaborate effectively in and across teams
- Provide rotational on-call support to the product and root cause analysis of software and system defects
- Ensure the team is using strong disciplined engineering practices including documented designs, CI/CD and testing practices.
- Direct code and technical contributions, not delegating all hands on work.
- Technical Architecture of the Service.
- Technical topics focusing on more than one developer – this means fostering and mediating technical debates within the service.
Who are you?
You are a team-player who collaborates with developers, designers, testers, and product manager to create an amazing user experience. You have experience with all aspects of the production software lifecycle. You have good interpersonal skills and feel in working with a fast paced team. You are a fast learner, with an eye for detail, strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Must Have:
- Bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent.
- 4+ years of software development experience.
- Strong in Java programming.
